Jim Dickie QPM, MSyl

Jim has enjoyed a challenging and successful career in both the public and corporate sector. Prior to joining BGP, Jim was Head of Investigations and Crisis Management for Vodafone. This followed a successful career with London’s Metropolitan Police from where he retired as a detective superintendent within the Specialist Crime Directorate at New Scotland Yard.

He has significant experience in corporate global investigations including fraud, threats to corporate reputation and brand as well as managing the conduct of whistle blowing investigations and corporate due diligence.

As an experienced and accredited Senior Investigation Officer (SIO), Jim successfully led operations investigating homicide, kidnap, extortion, product contamination and major public disorder. He is also a recognised expert in the fields of crisis management and disaster victim identification.

Jim was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal (QPM) in 2006 for distinguished police service. Although this was in recognition of his outstanding police career in the fight against serious and organised crime, it also specifically recognised his leadership in identifying victims of the Ladbroke Grove rail disaster, the terrorist atrocities of 9/11, the 2004 tsunami and latterly as the senior identification officer for victims of the terrorist bombings in London on the 7th July 2005.

Jim is also a Member of the Security Institute (MSyl).
